No production for the moment.

CNG

The CNG vehicles market is both considerable and promising. CNG is a veritable alternative fuel for the future and FAM Automobiles technology is already fitted to fleets of special vehicles for business use.

The company is keeping ahead of the growth in this market by continually improving its technology in order to meet a world need in the near future : many countries are fitting CNG systems to vehicles (heavy or light) such as, for example, Italy, Germany, the United states, Argentina, Canada, Venezuela, Malaysia.
There are already two million CNG vehicles on the road throughout the world.

LPG

FAM Automobiles was a pioneer in the mass production of LPG systems when they were introduced in 1996: FAM Automobiles developed and installed an LPG carburation system for the Pontiac Transport (General Motors). Conversion of this model to LPG led to the signing of several similar partnership contracts with such car manufacturers as Peugeot, Ford, Daewoo, Honda, Kia, Mazda and Subaru.

FAM Automobiles is today an industrial partner involved in all stages of a product life: from its design to its servicing, not to forget, naturally, its manufacture. Partner to the manufacturers on the French market, its operations have now spread on a European scale.

Since 1996, thanks to its two assembly sites (Exincourt and Bouchain), over 22 000 vehicles have rolled off the FAM Automobiles assembly lines with LPG dual fuel systems.

COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS

The vehicles converted by FAM Automobiles comply with European standards and legislation :
· For LPG and CNG , the quality of the components and the installation of the kit in the vehicle comply with specific standards, which since 1st July 2001, are common to the whole of Europe (R67-01 for LPG and R110 for CNG ).
· The LPG and CNG systems are 100 % compatible with the Euro III and Euro IV emission control standards and in compliance with EOBD (European On Board Diagnostic) requirements.

Thanks to years of experience in the gas industry, the company today has a know-how which puts FAM Automobiles among the leaders in this field.

Aware of the sensitive aspect of this field, FAM Automobiles regularly submits proposals for technical or safety upgrades to European legislation texts, and applies for patents for parts which are innovative and/or improve safety.
